LUV is the German word for "windward" and has its origin in sailor’s language. Technically it is the side from which the wind blows. LUV’s position of a sailing boat is therefore the one that most advantage takes from the wind, achieving in this way an strategic and mobility advantage regarding another sailing boat.
What does LUV mean ?
